Common Question – How much child support will I pay or receive
Massachusetts, like all states, is federally mandated to establish child support guidelines. These guidelines take into account several factors; most importantly gross income and number of children, and then establish a child support amount.
The guidelines can be adjusted; a common example would be for a non-custodial parent having several overnight visits per week.
